Lea Salonga’s name now has a permanent place on Hollywood Boulevard. On September 4, 2026, she received the 2,855th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s official record identifies her as the first Filipina to receive the honor. Her star is in the Live Performance category, in front of the Pantages Theatre.
For Filipino audiences, the star joins a career that stretches from the Manila stage to the West End, Broadway and Disney animation.
Disney’s D23 profile records Salonga’s Olivier and Tony awards and her 2011 induction as a Disney Legend. She provided the singing voices of Princess Jasmine and Mulan, performances that introduced her voice to generations of film audiences.
The Manila International Film Festival nominated Salonga for the Walk of Fame honor, according to the Hollywood Chamber.
The star makes that career visible in another way: as a marker people can encounter on a public street, beyond a theatre programme, recording or film credit.
For a performer whose work has carried Filipino talent across stages and screens, it is another milestone with lasting meaning.
